Year 1 Geography - Village Walk

Year 1 took their Geography learning beyond the classroom with an exciting walk around Burtonwood village. As part of their lesson, the children explored the local area, identifying both human and physical features that they have been learning about.

During their walk, the children observed a range of features within the village and enjoyed talking about what they could see around them. They saw a stream, looked out across the farmers’ fields and especially enjoyed spending time at the park, where they loved playing and exploring together.

With beautiful sunshine, the children had a wonderful time being out and about in their local environment.

It was a fantastic opportunity for the children to apply their classroom learning in a real-life setting and deepen their understanding of the world around them.

Next week, the children will continue their learning with an exciting virtual online tour of Shanghai, where they will compare life there with their own local area.

Well done, Year 1!
