Reception Class Showcase Assembly 2025
Reception Class Shine in Their Butterfly Life Cycle Showcase Assembly
This morning, Reception pupils confidently shared their learning in a special showcase assembly all about the life cycle of a butterfly.
Each child had a line to say, explaining a part of the butterfly’s life cycle, and they all remembered their words without any prompts—speaking clearly and with confidence in front of a hall full of parents, carers, staff, and pupils.
They also performed three songs linked to their topic. Despite a sound system issue at the start, the children had to sing the first song without any music, they sang beautifully, staying in time and singing loudly enough for everyone to hear. It was a great example of how well they can adapt and work together.
Following the assembly, families were invited down to the Reception classroom, where they had the chance to look through their child’s workbook and spend some time exploring the indoor and outdoor areas.
It was a lovely morning, and the children should be very proud of themselves. Well done Reception, you were all amazing!
