High School PE Taster Day

Year 5 kicked off the day with an exciting PE taster session led by Callum from Great Sankey High School. They headed outside for a lively football lesson, where they had the chance to develop their ball skills and experience the kind of PE activities they might take part in at high school.

Unfortunately, as the weather took a turn, Year 4’s session had to be moved indoors. However, this didn’t dampen their spirits. They took part in a fun and engaging lesson in the school hall, focusing on teamwork and building key ball-handling techniques.

Throughout both sessions, pupils demonstrated a number of High Performance Learning (HPL) values. Their resilience shone through as they tackled new challenges and kept going, even when tasks became tricky. They showed excellent collaboration by supporting their teammates and working together towards shared goals, and their growing confidence was clear as they engaged positively with all activities.

A big thank you to Callum from Great Sankey High School for delivering such enjoyable sessions. The pupils thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
