Book Bus Visits Burtonwood Community Primary School

Burtonwood Community Primary School welcomed the Book Bus once again this year, giving pupils the chance to explore a fresh selection of books.

As part of the visit, a selection of children from each year group were chosen to pick books that will be kept in their classrooms for everyone to enjoy. This allowed pupils to have a say in the books they’ll be reading, helping to keep their reading choices varied and interesting.

The Book Bus, run by the Cheshire Education Library Service (ELS), provides schools with access to a wide range of books. This year’s selection included a mix of fiction and non-fiction, covering different interests and reading levels.

The visit supports the school’s ongoing focus on encouraging reading for pleasure and ensuring pupils have access to a variety of books. The children enjoyed browsing the selection and choosing books they thought their classmates would like.

Overall, it was a great opportunity to refresh the school’s book collection and keep pupils engaged with reading.
