HPL in Action Week Beginning 24th March

HPL in Action – Share Your Child’s Learning Journey
We are passionate about developing High Performance Learning (HPL) values in our pupils, both in school and beyond. We would love to see how your child demonstrates these skills and qualities at home, whether through clubs, hobbies, creative projects, problem-solving activities, or even everyday challenges.
This week’s HPL focus is imagination. It comes under the ACP heading of Linking. It can be described as 'To use creativity and innovation to come up with original ideas.'
We invite parents and carers to send in photos and examples of their children demonstrating these values. These could be from sports clubs, music or drama performances, science experiments, artwork, fundraising, or any activity where they show resilience, originality, confidence, or big-picture thinking.
Please send your details, along with a photo to Miss Coupe in school—we can’t wait to share and celebrate their fantastic efforts!
Here are the children that have been showcasing this week’s HPL value: Imagination and the HPL value: Confidence:
Eloise - Year 4
Eloise has used the HPL value of Confidence by singing a solo of her theatre schools showcase at the Theatre Royal in St Helens. She sang ‘Castle on a Cloud’ from Les Misérables and did brilliantly. Amazing Eloise, well done!
Felix - Reception
Felix used his imagination to make a spring themed name plaque for his bedroom door. He used stickers and decided to draw around the sticker shapes to colour his own design of spring animals.
Phoebe - Reception
Phoebe used her imagination to draw some ladybirds after finding some in the garden, she chose how many spots to give them and coloured them in.
Sakashvi - Year 2
Sakashvi used her imagination to make a fidget board using beads, lip gloss containers and sequins.
Frankie - Year 2
Frankie and his dad used their imagination by building the Titanic from random pieces of Lego with no guidance.
